The Poughkeepsie Social Security Office will reopen on Monday, June 30, 2025.

The newly renovated office is a modern facility aimed at better serving the public. The public entrance is now located at 4 Academy Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, around the corner from its former entrance.

In preparation for the move, the office will be closed for in-person services on Friday June 27, 2025. The staff will be available by phone at 877-405-6747 during the transition, and full in person services will resume on Monday June 30, 2025. Customers are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance to minimize wait times and ensure prompt service.

The office also continues to recommend using their online services at www.ssa.gov, which is the fastest and most convenient way to conduct business with Social Security.
